Why Life’s Operating System™?
I’ve spent a lot of years helping people make decisions about property. One thing I’ve learned: before deciding what to do with a house, hear what’s happening in the person’s life.
Can they stay? Would moving help? What care might they need, and how would they pay for it? Those answers can change whether selling makes sense.
That’s why I started Life’s Operating System™: to share what experience has taught me about the questions behind a real estate decision.
Let’s get the person, family, and the people who can help into the same room. There may be something they haven’t had a chance to hear from each other.
What might that conversation change?
Moving closer to the kids may be a good decision. Then one day you say, “I wish I could still see Dr. Smith.” Or you miss the neighbor who watered the plants and stayed awhile to visit.
Being near family means a lot. So does knowing people you can call and places where you feel comfortable.
You may not be ready to move. Still, getting to know the area when you visit gives you something to think about. After a while, a few faces become familiar, and you begin to feel more at home.
Planning ahead doesn’t commit you to anything. It helps you recognize what you’d miss and what you’d want there.
That’s our two-minute warning reminder: give yourself time to get comfortable.
